  • MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION

    THAT the Agenda, Addenda and Late Items for the Regional and Corporate Services Committee Open Meeting of July 11, 2024 be approved;

    AND THAT all delegations, reports, correspondence and other information set to the Agenda be received for information.

  • MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION

    THAT the Minutes of the Regional and Corporate Services Committee Open Meeting of June 13, 2024 be adopted.

  • MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION

    THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board give three readings and adoption to the bylaw cited as Fraser Valley Regional District Officers Establishment Bylaw No. 1748, 2024;

    AND THAT the below individuals be appointed and designated as Officers of the Fraser Valley Regional District in the following capacities:

    Stacey Barker, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer/Director of Regional Services in the capacity as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer

    Beth Klein, Controller/Deputy Financial Officer in the capacity as the Deputy Corporate Officer assigned responsibility for financial administration

  • MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION

    THAT the meeting be closed to the public, except for Senior Staff and the Executive Assistant, for the purpose of receiving and adopting Closed Meeting Minutes convened in accordance with Section 90 of the Community Charter and to consider matters pursuant to:

    • Section 90(1)(k) of the Community Charter - negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a regional service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the regional district, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the regional district if they were held in public;
    • Section 90(2)(b) of the Community Charter - the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the municipality and a provincial government or the federal government or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government or both and a third party;

  • MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION

    THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board authorize its signatories to enter into the 2024-2034 Community Works Fund Agreement under the Administrative Agreement on the Canada Community-Building Fund;

    AND THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board approve the allocation of the 2024 Electoral Area Community Works Funds based on the formula:

    1. Each Electoral Area receives a Base Funding Amount (per the funding agreement) divided by eight electoral areas, and

    2. The remainder of funds are allocated on a per capita basis to eight electoral areas and one Regional / Sub-Regional account, based on the 2021 census populations as certified by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
